The Chieftain is a normal unique Battle Axe found in Diablo 2 Resurrected.

The Chieftain is unusual for putting All Resistances +10-20 on a weapon, a slot that almost never carries it, which is most of the argument for using one. The 100% Enhanced Damage and 20% Increased Attack Speed are ordinary for level 19, and the Lightning Damage averages out low enough to ignore. It is a stopgap that patches a resistance hole rather than a weapon worth building around.

How to upgrade The Chieftain

You can upgrade The Chieftain to a Tabar with the following cube recipe:

1 Ral Rune + 1 Sol Rune + 1 Perfect Emerald + The Chieftain

When upgrading The Chieftain to a Tabar the level requirement will increase to level 30.
